A man suspected of downloading child pornography was found dead by a railway track hours after he featured in a television appeal, police confirmed.

Mark Ross was found dead at Aldwarke Junction, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, in the early hours of 8 February.

The night before he was named on the BBC's Crimewatch programme over downloaded child pornography.
